Idaho Waffle Cross

2020 Covid-19 Update: Hello Cyclocross Family! As a team, we have discussed the potential for hosting the upcoming season and have come to the quick conclusion that it is not fair to put our racers, team members, volunteers, family, sponsors and the greater community at any additional unnecessary risk due to the current state of Covid-19. Thus, we are officially canceling the 2020 series. This would have been our 10th anniversary as a series, but we look forward to celebrating in 2021 with renewed passion and excitement. Until then, we hope to continue to see you enjoying your bikes on the trails and roads!

Thank you for all of your constant support and enthusiasm for the beautiful sport of cyclocross over the years.

Now in season ten, Idaho Waffle Cross is Idaho’s premier cyclocross race series. Based in Eagle, Idaho, races are held over three weekends from October to mid December with back to back Saturday and Sunday races. All races are held at the Eagle Bike Park which offers deep off-camber grass sections, steep run-ups, and mixed dirt and sand technical terrain. The atmosphere is good, clean, fun grassroots bike racing, but with an eye for details that takes our races to the next level and ensure good value for our racers. We pride ourselves on our charitable partner program where all donations from Belgium waffles and beer sales are are given to charities that are working to improve our community in the Treasure Valley. Come out to race bicycles. Come out to spectate. Bring your family and have a great day at Idaho Waffle Cross.

See you in 2021! For more information about race venue, racing categories, bike info, fees, and series details, please see our events faq page.

For 2021 we are working to create a competitive and fun race for all participants. If you are familiar with an “A” and “B” floating category, then you will understand what has happened with the Men’s Masters category.

We are taking the Men’s Masters category 1, 2, and some faster cat 3’s (ages 40-59) and moving them to our Pro/1/2/3 race. This will be our Men’s Masters “A” heat.

If you are a Men’s Masters category 3 (slower) or a 4/5, (ages 40-49 and 50-59), or a Men’s Master age 60+ (Open) you will race in your own heat along with our Single Speeders. This will be our Men’s Masters “B” heat.

If you are unfamiliar with the concept of the “floating” A/B designation that we are using for the Men’s Masters category 3, please reach out for clarification! For those of you Cat 3 Masters on the border between an A and B race pace, please race up! What doesn’t kill you will make you FASTER!

Sending a big thank you to the business and people who support cycling, racing, and the Idaho Waffle Cross Series. Please show these companies your support and say “thank you” for what they do for the cycling community.
